Welcome

Supporters and Friends

Welcome to the official site dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements of Jim S. Williams, the 379th inductee into the Saddle & Sirloin Portrait Gallery. This award, often regarded as the highest honor in the livestock industry, recognizes leaders who have made significant contributions both in the USA and internationally.

Jim Williams, a sixth-generation rancher and leader of V8 Ranch, has spent a lifetime advancing the livestock industry through innovation, education, and a deep commitment to excellence. From his work in Brahman cattle breeding to his influence on livestock judging worldwide, Jim’s legacy is one of enduring impact.

We have set a goal of raising $100,000 to cover the costs associated with Jim’s portrait and the induction ceremony. This tradition of self-funding is an integral part of the Saddle & Sirloin Portrait Award, and your contributions will not only help preserve this tradition but also support a scholarship endowment in Jim’s name that will benefit future leaders in agriculture.

“The day may come when the art of breeding cattle can be automated, but today, the eye of the master still plays an important role in pedigreed livestock.”
